Wheelchair Gloves

Wheelchair GlovesIs it rude to wear gloves in a wheelchair while shaking hands?

I am new to the whole thing in a wheelchair and I was wondering if the wheelchair users who wear gloves to remove them from shaking hands or if it's fine to keep. I'm 18, so I do not want to appear as being disrespectful. They are huge thick gloves, they are very thin so it's not embarrassing, I'm not sure if it's rude.

Thank you!

No, it's fine. You wear gloves to protect your hands from injury. If you want to say "pardon my glove" that would be OK but I do not think this is necessary. Reasonable people understand that your situation requires that the gloves. I certainly would not be offended if you shook my hand while wearing gloves.

You can say, "Excuse my glove, as you extend your hand.

Yes, remove them and DONT use them, but they make you want EPM device pleasering great if you aspire to HJ
