Taylor Body Fat Scale

Taylor Body Fat ScaleMyth Busted: Does Muscle weighs more than fat

You probably have heard this again and again, the old saying weighs less fat than muscle. But is this true?

In a simple point: a pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat. No matter how you weigh a pound is a pound.

But it is true that the muscle is more dense than fat. If you have a block of muscle and a block of equal size of the muscle weighs more than fat. The great thing, it is much narrower and looks a heck of a lot better than having the same weight in fat.

, I suppose that the easiest way to imagine what weight problem is that if you take a 6 "x 6" x 6 "cube of fat and even take a cube of muscle size muscle weighs more because of its density and compactness.

I have heard and seen dozens of women who look like they weigh up to 30 pounds less than in reality simply because of their muscles. There is no doubt that if you are planning on packing on muscle, then you will inevitably put on a few pounds.

But the difference this weight gain compared to weight gain during the holidays is that you gain lean muscle. You look thinner, but the scale will tell a different story.

Screw the scale is what I say! I had a woman tell me she was only 12% body fat, but weighed 190 pounds! Let me tell you 12% body fat is very low. This just goes to show her body is mostly composed of lean muscle mass.

Obviously, for the strength training and production, it is essential to build scale, which should be your first plan of action. Find more effective to serve on the progress. You can purchase a wide body composition or even fat calibrators to determine% fat. It is much more efficient than the numbers on the typical scale.

The best method I see is simply to take note of your progress. Keep newspapers and magazines and even take pictures of yourself regularly to compare! I suggest taking pictures once a month if you have a timetable for changes to occur.

So, to sum it up, the muscle does not weigh more than fat. But it is more dense and the size is important! Also remember that muscle is a heck of a lot more metabolically active, then fat, so the more you have the more calories you will burn. muscle growth and reduce fat!
