Ski Walking Poles

Ski Walking PolesNordic Ski Walking Poles radically improve balance and stability

Over six million Europeans are Nordic Walking with special Nordic Ski Walking Poles (ALL ages and levels of fitness). This activity of amazing new fitness regime turbo on plane. Not only does Nordic Walking burn up to 40% more calories than regular walking, it automatically improves walking posture and helps reduce stress to the shins, knees, hips and back. Utilizing the correct length poles encourages improved walking posture, while the Poles and arms absorb an impressive amount of shock that would normally hit the shins, knees, hips and back. Nordic Walking is ideal for athletes, children, adults of all ages and even people balance issues.

Four years ago, I launched SKIWALKING.COM and immediately received hundreds of emails thank you and thank you cards from satisfied customers - including folks with bad / new knees, bad / new hips, the back problems and balance problems. A lady called me during the fall of 2004 and asked if the poles would help improve his balance problems resulting from an inner ear problem. I told him I was not sure, but I disagree with him several impressive success stories of people with knee, hip and / or back problems. Using the correct length poles she was able to navigate even the roughest terrain of the balance and security provided by the poles. It has been successfully using my Swix VIP Nordic Walking poles for more than two years.

While hosting Nordic Walking fitness center in Traverse City, Michigan I was introduced to Michelle Honer. Michelle had signed up to participate in one of my classes ski walking. When she approached the handicap ramp prior to the class with her cane it was apparent she had some balance problems and she told her classmates she had MS. Our first ski ride was only a few blocks down and back. In a few weeks we were covering about 2 miles an hour.
For seven years, before Michelle had ridden an electric scooter in the Traverse City MS Walk. In years past Michelle has Ski Walked the 5K (3.1 miles). Local newspapers and television stations have covered her remarkable story.

"My special Nordic Walking poles have allowed me to go higher, faster, farther and with much more stability than with my cane. Their one-piece design is much better than my old adjustable poles that broke unexpectedly at an extremely embarrassing, "says Michelle.
Michelle is now a ski ambassador for SKIWALKING.COM Walking and hiking skiing proudly wears his shirt in organic cotton while assisting at many of my Nordic Walking Clinics.
Michelle success with walking sticks encouraged me to host free Nordic Walking Clinics at meetings of the MS support group. She suggested that I also contact the Jimmie Heuga Center in Colorado. The Heuga Center is dedicated to helping people with MS healthier and happier lives.

I get thank you letters and e-mails every day from super happy customers. Examples wonderful couple:

I just returned from a 14-day trip to London and Ireland. I was able to do almost everything using my ski poles or "sticks" as they call them in England and Ireland. I could not examine this trip without my "walking sticks" and I am grateful for them. I hope all Parkinson's patients will be able to use to make "sticks".

Thank you again for making my time in an adventure to life a reality.
