I am old, my mom's car and she bought a new one. Mine is a 2003 Nissan Sentra. It has very low mileage and my mother had no problems with it at all. It seems that I will be driving for a while. It has some small minor scratches that you can not see far, are putting things in plastic on top and on the upper trunk, and doors on the other car parking. Well how Essex County Newark and other urban areas - I'm in New Brunswick - there's a newer car or truck in my area that is not already scratched and dented from inconsiderate slobs in parking lots and the gang members who are looking at anything they stand next to. You can get a friend or two and make a easy to use wax - a batch of towels - and begin cleaning up the car - he will not fix your teeth, but scratches can sometimes be deleted. All newer cars are clear coated - you will actually clean the varnish. Have two guys who are not afraid to work - it takes a little muscle on a beautiful morning COOL - not during the lunch break vacuum hot ..... with paint, you get what you pay for. There are no bargains. Good paint is expensive, and prepare a car for a good pqaint is even more expensive.
