Kids Medical Alert Bracelets

Your children wear medical ID jewelry? Why or why not? My daughter is 11 years on several drugs for multiple disorders. Now normally I would not worry about it, Ono ut these disorders as schizophrenia, and I'm worried she will ask one day away and get lost. Some bracelets were often as elegant (the Beagle beadin) and witplatesswould haveve enough room to engrave his name and schizophrenia on the forehead, and emergency contact information on the back - if this solution solution seemsgood . What do you think? Attentio tattention will of her (she hates to be noticed)? She is on an IEP if she laughed a bit. Would that add to this, or do lots of children ear medic alert bracelets?

I am a paramedic to fifteen years in the field. I can not stress this enough. Whatever his age, whatever his condition, she must wear a bracelet. It may save his life. I saw children (and adults) live because we knew what to apply when there was nobody around to tell us the story.

If I can make another suggestion, put a full copy of its history and medications in a sealed envelope. Have him carry in his backpack or purse, and placed on medical alert bracelet where it is. It is sealed, so not just anyone can look, but if she is still in an ambulance, we know where to look for information.

I have a Medic Alert necklace. It is in the shape of a heart, and I wear as a necklace. He has my name and symbol medical alert (in red) on the police, and "diabetic" on the back. It's cute and trendy, yet large enough to be noticed if I ever need.

Honestly, I doubt anyone will notice with laurenshope. they resemble bracelets style.

I considered a medical alert bracelet for my daughter with a life-threatening allergy, but was advised by a doctor friend that if a paramedic found her unconscious and having difficulty breathing, they'll give the same treatment they whether or not aware of the allergy. So it does not seem to be a point.

I do not really know any children with MedicAlert identification bracelets, and my brother-in-law to severe schizophrenia does not.

In fact, I thought the Medic Alert has not made the list of medical conditions leading somewhere (or at least?) - I thought they instead listed a number of phone to call for information on health? Engraving on the health front and then having to carry around the very visible all the time seems like it would feel like an invasion of privacy of a 11 year old girl.
