Insulin Injectors

Insulin InjectorsAnyone familiar with the pressure of the insulin injection?

It is supposed to be a way to inject insulin without needles. I would like more info of people who use one or know.
My son has cystic fibrosis related diabetes and takes insulin injections for 24 hours a day. That's enough for today, but as the disease progresses, it will most likely need the rapid-acting insulin with meals. If that happens, we will most likely go to the pump instead of cartridges with syringe and needles, but I had heard of this injector pressure and I am particularly question her. How it works, if it works well, if it is painless and others.

They are a little older, but the way they work is by air pressure. instead of a needle air forces of insulin through the skin. When these went my diabetes educator and Hel tried an arm full of distance from his hand to see the pressure she was fired and said that almost broke his hand. I saw his hand afterwards and he had been a few days, but was still very bruised. This is the biggest drawback that I heard.
They are still as bad, if not more, than live fire. Im on the pump and the injectors during the recommended pressure.

You may search the Internet for more information. From what I read, there are injection systems newer than mentioned above. That said, I do not think I'll try one on myself. I do well with insulin injections during pregnancy, although I am very grateful not only to have to do now. And I would choose a pen or a pump, if I became insulin dependent.

Good luck! (:
