Gold Medical Alert Stainless steel or sterling silver medical alert bracelet? Which will take the luster and durability more? I plan to get a medical ID bracelet made soon .. I'm trying to decide whether to get the stainless steel or sterling silver. Gold is like do not want to look like my many other gold bracelets that I wear on a daily basis, I want the silver and red medical emblem stand out. I know sterling silver is pretty when it is new, but it is tarnished and dull in a short period when I wear every day. Ii must wear this bracelet med id every day if I need durability and shine. I do not know much about stainless steel and about its relevance here ... advice or recommendations? For durability then for stainless steel, it will be your life time and a little more, but make sure it is a good value for steel I think I am not sure but I think that sterling silver will last longer. It may be a bit tarnished, but all you have to do is to buy a cloth for cleaning silver jewelry (he already has jewelry cleaner in tissue), you can buy it at Tiffany & Co . store. I bought mine in a jewelry store in my mall just ask if they have a silver jewelry cleaner preferably a cloth. Posted on March 7, 2010.
