Why U.S. hospitals are encouraged to use filter needles when injecting drug use for the glass bulb?
Is it possible dangers do not use the filter needle?

When a glass ampoule is opened, there is potential for some to fall into the glass bulb. The idea behind a filtered needle is that it captures all glass so it would not be entering the syringe, and, therefore, not be injected into the patient.
