Is this standard for dental technicians to wear gloves when handling the equipment? My technician was walking with my temporary crown in their hands without gloves. I was shocked and disgusted when I saw it. I asked them to clean it with bleach.
Is this normal? Should I report to the Department of Health. There are so many diseases and germs to exercise their hands. E coli and others.
I had to return for a permanent but I'm too disgusted to visit the office again. I already paid half of the service.
What is your opinion? How can they keep equipment clean from person to person? They had to shape my teeth (with a sort of size / shaper) and I wondered how they sterilize these items?
is disgusting. Dentists should always wear gloves, especially when they are carrying out the objects that will travel into the mouth of a patient. although I do not know if you need to notify the department of health, it would not hurt to check.
from person to person, they must either bring the device in a sterilizer cold or heat sterilizer. cold sterilizer is a bleach solution that kills bacteria completely, and the heat sterilizer goes crazy at high temperatures to kill bacteria. (:
As for the size / shaper, I'm not too sure.
I would also ... asking for your money.
pay for the temporary crown, but taking money for a permanent return.
Good luck!
