Do I have a good chance of finding a Dental Assistant job with only a degree in Dental Assisting?

Many offices are willing (and prefer) to train new assistants. They love people without prior experience, so they do not have their old habits to break you. I started with a dental office 10 years ago with no experience or formal training. I reached my 10 years away. Most girls I work never went to school to help and had no other training.

Penn school career home for the diploma are a joke! You need hands on .. Nor the computer! More most states you for taking the test in the State .. Good luck to the penn home. Go to a real college ~ good luck!

I work in a dentist office and a dental assistant here went to a dental assisting program for less than a year. Im not sure if it's the same everywhere.

You will receive a certificate in dental assisting. Then you must pass a state exam to become a certified dental assistant and your chances of finding a job to someone who had no training is much better!
