Perhaps because there are so many open positions to fill that many people are being put to good use in regards to be overworked and underpaid.

In a perfect world, it would have a job that pays well and have excellent benefits. Your colleagues and your boss would be nice would be great. Patients would be easy to maintain and you would never have a bad day at work.
Unfortunately, PDAs Dental know that this perfect world does not exist. They learn it the first day of training at the school dental assistant. Nothing is perfect.
You will be working for bad bosses. You will have your colleagues and patients that terrible terrible abuse your patience. This will soon be perfect uniform wrinkled and stained beyond recognition.
A major pitfall of some dental assistant jobs and other employment elsewhere, are employment agencies. There will always be crooks in this world who prey on others. If you are applying for a job with an agency and they want to charge you, before escaping and reporting to the Better Business Bureau. You should never need to pay someone to get a job.
Some bodies are temporary. If a dentist office has someone who is in sick, they will call for a temporary agency worker. The worker will be paid on a daily basis and is required to complete, however long. Some health care assistants have found permanent employment in this way it is a viable option for some workers, especially if they are not looking for a fulltime position at first.
Dental assistant jobs are there if you know where to look. As mentioned above you should never have to pay for the work. It is not fair and it's a scam. It should never be a fee at your charge.
A good place to find a job in a dental office is your local newspaper or job board such as Monster. They usually have a range of local listing, dental assistant jobs.
