Breath Testing

Breath TestingWhy did the police in America based on physical tests rather than the breath test to detect alcohol in the driver?

I see the word TEST inaccurate. field sobriety test observations are used to show probable cause for arrest. I agree that some tests are not fair, and argued the point before the court, but I've come to a conclusion after administration comments that three instructions. Other than traffic violations, clear, strong / detectable odor of alcoholic beverage, slurred speech, difficulty following simple directions, balance, walking and finger to nose observation was more than sufficient to make a decision. The breathalyzer came afterwords. It is not illegal to drink and drive. The violation is driving while impaired / under the influence.

We do use both ..

the test is not always accurate. If you can pass the physical test, you should be allowed to drive.

Alcohol affects your motor skills, coordination, etc collection. They also use breath tests.

The count on the test, but people can tell whether or not to take so thats the problem, you can tell the officer that you refuse to take a breath sample, but if you refuse physics, they can lock you up on suspicion of drunk driving and resisting.

The physical tests are followed by either a breathalyzer or blood test.

Many police departments have a breathalyzer available for each police car. The tests are conducted at the police station under more controlled. The fitness test told the officer that they have enough evidence to take the person into custody, after which they will be tested.

In some cases, where physical tests are made on the dash-cam video, the test is sufficient to indicate the person is intoxicated. The breathalyzer and / or blood test just gives further evidence and says the courts HOW drunk.

In California, if you refuse to take a breath, you automatically lose your license for one year. Driving is not a "right" is a privilege.

Breatolyzers are not quite correct. The only close to accurate measurement is a blood test. Most police officers can avoid testing simply perform an audit of sobriety whetehr show or not to test more expensive.

its dumb, you are asked to say the ABCs backwards. I know that nobody can say backwards!
I thought they usually do both if you can not get any of the physical things well done. Cops take in different manners, depending on where you live. State-wise.

They ask for permission for a breath test. you have the right to refuse this test

The sobriety test PHYSICS is the first step.
THEN IF YOU DO they do a breathalyzer test.
Then, when you FAIL they take you for a blood alcohol test at the hospital.
IS the correct procedure.
(What I heard)

Thats not completely true. A large number of police use breathalyzers to detect blood alcohol content. In fact, the only way to scientifically determine whether a driver is just above, just below, or right to the illegal blood alcohol concentration. However, it is not always necessary to use because if a driver is so drunk that they can not even pass a physical test, then they are a danger to themselves and those around them and that must be stopped.

They are generally the two tests.
And when you do not pass these tests, you get a blood test or urine test at the prison.
(The blood sample is taken by a nurse or a phlebotomist.)

We both

I think it is a courtesy of the driver suspected of drinking. If he can not pass the "follow the pencil test and the heel" feet "test, and others, then it is presumed to be authorized and he may continue his journey.

If it fails these tests, then he took to the station for a breathalyzer test. A.
