Bath time baby! Baby first bath. It can be a bit annoying, especially if you're a new mom and never gave a newborn a bath. Do not worry if you do very well. Mothers were giving babies a bath since the beginning of time. Today, it is much safer with all the new types of tanks designed only for infants and toddlers. And many babies love to have a bath!
Your newborn should just get sponge baths for the first two weeks at home, or until the healing of the umbilical cord. Since your baby does not need a bath every day, you can give sponge baths twice a week or as often as you deem necessary. It is important to move forward and collect everything you need before you begin. And here's the equipment you'll need a baby bath:
* A. thick towels or a sponge bath cushion type * 2. * 3 soft washcloths. bath seat for the basin or sink * 4. balls of cotton * five. baby shampoo and baby soap (not irritating) * 6. hooded baby towel * 7. clean diaper and clothing
Make sure the room you use is warm (about 75 degrees F). Place a non-slip pad or towel to the bottom of the seat / tub so your baby does not slip (the young are very slippery). Run hot water (between 90-100 degrees or warmer inside of your wrist) in the sink or tub. Slowly undress your baby while speaking in a soothing voice, explaining what you do. Place the baby in the water slowly.
Start with the face with a little soap for babies. Then wash the head, and continue to move downward. When bathing your baby, make sure to clean the following areas (and wrinkles) to bottom: the neck, ears, buttocks and groin. Try not to wet the area of the umbilical cord, clean gently with an alcohol swab. And if your son is circumcised, try not to move the foreskin to clean the groin area. Once you have the face clean, then finish with the rear.
Dry yourself carefully for babies and dress them. Make sure the head is completely dry. The first time may take a little time, because they are uncomfortable and they are very slippery. But never take your hands off your baby. Once you both get used to this routine, it will be extremely easy. Enjoy!
