Aetna Ppo Dental Insurance

HMO vs. PPO Aetna Insurance dental health?
So, my school is an option for students to obtain insurance Aetna Dental
we have two choices:
1 - Aetna Dental Advantage (HMO) for 131 million dollars for the spring semester only
Aetna Dental PPO-2 $ 235 for the spring semester only

What is the difference between the two? What is the best? Who covers more? Which would you choose and why?

The main difference is essentially one. Do you have a special dentist that you must see that is not listed in the Aetna HMO network? If yes, go to the OPP. (Preferred Provider) Visit their website for the list.

If you just need a dentist to be able to manage the routine cleaning and cavities, go with the HMO. You can always ask around and see who is on the list is good to go. What will be covered in so wise procedure is the same, but you will pay more than your pocket for the OPP, in both directions ...... with the initial cost and when you see the dentist. Believe me ..... Aetna we have been others, and it is a very sensitive issue at home. We have to bear the OPP because not enough docs and dentist in our region accept HMOs.

The assertion that "if it cost more it must be better" is completely absurd and is the kind of person that the insurance companies to deal with love. (And take the money from)

You will have more difficulty finding a dentist to the insurance DHMO. Payment of insurance companies is very low and most dentists refuse to take it as a majority can acutaly lose money because these patients. From what I understand, the only need here only sees patients two days a week and there is a huge waiting list to get to see them. I have tons of people who come to my office every year because that was decided the cheapest is not necessarily the best for them.

If the PPO has a higher premium, it must provide better services. But be sure to see how many and who the suppliers before you register. Aetna provide you the information. Good luck
